Bleue Blanche Rouge sits comfortably in Versailles as a meat-focused restaurant that draws diners looking for a hearty, well-prepared meal with a French touch. Located on a main avenue not far from the Château, it caters to those who appreciate traditional meat dishes presented with care and paired thoughtfully with wine.

The atmosphere leans toward a casual yet polished dining experience. You’ll find it suits an evening meal for couples or families who want attentive service without the stiffness of fine dining. The staff’s familiarity with the menu and willingness to help—whether by explaining dishes or suggesting wine pairings—makes it accessible even for visitors to the area.

On the plate, the focus here is clearly on quality cuts and classic preparations. Dishes like entrecôte grillée and steak tartare form the backbone of the menu, accompanied by rich sauces and well-chosen sides such as potatoes gratin. For those wanting to linger on something elegant, the duck magret and pluma ibérique offer more indulgent options with distinct regional flavors.

Desserts are worth leaving room for, with house specialties like moelleux au chocolat and profiteroles offering a satisfying finish that feels homey rather than overly elaborate.

Meat lovers visiting Versailles around dinnertime, especially pairs and families, will find this a comfortable spot to enjoy a focused menu with a straightforward, unpretentious vibe. The attentive service and willingness to accommodate add a practical warmth to the experience, even if the place isn’t aiming for haute cuisine perfection. Visiting on a weekday evening or weekend night can bring a busy but friendly energy, reflecting local and tourist mixes.

My boyfriend and I had a nice dinner date here tonight! The service is great! Our lovely waiter translated parts of the menu for us (we are visiting from Amsterdam) and also recommended wine pairing for the meat / steak we ordered. The meat was tender and delicious and the sides were also a delight! Also, leave some space for dessert!

Great little spot. Food was good and our server was great but the male service staff refused to help with an umbrella… just cause. Anyway. It was worth hitting up.

Although we didn't have a reservation - recommended - staff was able to accommodate our family of five. Waiters are very friendly and efficient. They also made good recommendations for wine pairings and kids' dishes. Onglet was excellent and gratin was very tasty side dish. Sauces for the meat were great too. Duck was delicious as well. Tea with a selection of mini deserts was a great finish to the evening. Quiet atmosphere allows for easy conversation. Overall the evening felt like an authentic French experience with excellent French food. Grand merci!

I am giving a 4 instead of 5 because of the staff attitude , and the inacceptable way of talking , impoliteness toward a customer . Saying to a client you are starving you finished your soup is not correct . It was not even a joke . I took the 3 course menu of a pumpkin soup , the veal with vegetables , the pear frangine tart . It was delicious, reasonable pricing compared to quality and taste . I found the portion of main course small . Recommended.

I discovered this restaurant during Covid and saved it on my list of places to try. The service at lunchtime was excellent and the staff was very helpful with suggestions. The dishes we tried were absolutely delightful, the desert was sumptuous, and the presentation was fantastic! I give an A+ for the ambience I'd love to go back and try something on the fish menu as I've heard great things. However, I recommend booking a table in advance if possible, especially for a group.
